THE CALM AFTER THE STORM
August is well known for being the busiest time in Barcelona. People from all over the world come to the city to see the Sagrada Familia, the Camp Nou stadium and Las Ramblas. Every day as I stepped out of my door, I almost literally stumbled over the tourists.
Until today that is. Because when I stepped out of the door this morning it suddenly felt... empty. Only a handful of people on the streets and most of them were speaking Spanish. So, I guess as we head into September and the leafs are falling from the trees - and I have experienced my first rainy day in Barcelona - summer is coming to an end. Real life is starting soon and before I know it, I'll be sitting in a classroom again. But, I still have a week to go before all that begins. So, the moment the sun comes out again I'm going to lie on the beach and do absolutely nothing. Just because I can.
